So it has been about 20 days since I last posted, and boy have I been busy. I've made a few trips around the area including a trip to Bozeman Montana to see my cousin Walt Brannen, and a trip to George, Washington (state) to see a Phish concert at a venue called "The Gorge." Jackson Middleton has joined the crew out in Jackson Hole for ten days and we went on an overnight hiking trip together in Teton National Park.
I dropped him off yesterday at the park for a solo hike and I will be picking him up shortly this afternoon. I am also going to the Jackson Hole rodeo this afternoon and then to a Robert Earl Keen concert at the tavern tonight.
Jackson Middleton leaves Thursday and then I will leave Jackson Hole for Oregon early next week. The plan for the future is to be-bop around in Oregon for a few days and then head to California for about a week or two. I plan to do a little surfing while I am there and then hopefully be back to Georgia in the first of September.
A trip to Lake Jackson, we rented a little jon boat with a 9.9 hp... we didn't move fast
Kari and I took an afternoon hike up to Lake Goodwin

Solo fishing trip on the Gallatin River in Bozeman MT
A little storm rolled in
Still slaying the dinker rainbow trout though
One with a little more size to it.... I wish someone was there to see me try and catch/net this one... those river rocks are soooo slippery

Jackson and I at Inspiration point above Jenny lake at the begining of our 24 mile.. 24 hour hike
Sweet trees
Big rocks
Barely any propane in our tank......
Campsite on lake Solitude. We had to make a campsite because our original place to camp was covered in snow and 1000 feet above lake solitude. The darker snow is actually the lake... (mind you this is August)
Early morning pictures of the back side of "The Grand" (Teton)
Breaking down camp
Fresh Morning sun on the back. Nothing like it
This is a better look at lake Solitude. The row of rocks in the middle of the picture are the shore of the lake.
Hiking out of the Canyon. Another picture of The Grand
Really cool ground moss that had flowers growing out of it. We saw a lot of the small chipmunk-like rodents eating them
That is the view of lake solitude. We had hiked through a lot of snow that day. Jackson is happy as can be.
Action shot hiking
A lonely road to the top
Sooo Icey
Glimpse of Liegh lake on the other side of "The Paintbrush divide"

Some slight downhill... I don't think they named it Grizzly because its hard to hike (I hope)
So we didn't take the rangers seriously when he said that we might need Ice picks
Lake Hollie.. almost out of the snow
